FINANCIAL EDUCATION IN SCHOOLS IN THE CITY OF SANTANA DO IPANEMA, STATE OF ALAGOAS

Abstract

This project aimed to promote and institutionalize Financial Education for the effective exercise of citizenship, utilizing thematic and dynamic meetings conducted by participants and collaborators. The proposal aimed to address everyday issues within the school community, disseminating information and concepts about Financial Education to enhance understanding of market dynamics. Additionally, it encouraged interdisciplinary practice in financial education activities on an ongoing basis. As a result, the importance of workshops in increasing knowledge levels on the subject and providing support for students to make appropriate financial choices was observed. Furthermore, given its community nature, it provided parents of students with the opportunity to reconsider concepts on contemporary topics, playing a more active role in their children's school life.
