Abstract
The present work aims to analyze the threads and challenges of the work of the social worker in the defense of rights in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. bibliographical and documentary research, aiming at having theoretical foundation for the understanding of the phenomena. It was concluded, then, the relevant role of the Social Service professional in the context of a pandemic context, through qualified listening, social reception and dialogue, articulating all dimensions of intervention, providing access to services and public policies.
