Abstract

O leite humano é um biofluido rico em nutrientes e compostos bioativos. Contudo, pouco se sabe sobre a concentração destes compostos em função do estado nutricional materno. Sendo assim, objetivando avaliar a concentração de compostos bioativos do colostro em função do índice de massa corporal materno, foi realizado um estudo transversal, onde os constituintes do leite humano foram analisados por meio de ressonância magnética nuclear. Diferenças significantes foram observadas no teor de fucose, e de ácido N-acetil neuramínico, indicando que metabólitos primários para a produção de oligossacarídeos não digeríveis estavam alterados em função do estado nutricional materno.
