Função sexual de mulheres submetidas ao tratamento para câncer cervical: revisão integrativa

Resumo

Objetivo: Analisar a função sexual de mulheres submetidas aos tratamentos para o câncer de colo do útero. Métodos: Foi realizada uma revisão integrativa da literatura, em que foram utilizados os descritores em ciências da saúde: “Sexual Behavior”, “treatment” e “Uterine Cervical Neoplasms”, com buscas realizadas nas bases de dados Pubmed, Scopus, Science Direct e Web Of Science. Resultados: Foram localizados 75 artigos, dos quais apenas 9 foram elegidos para esta revisão. Esses estudos foram enfáticos ao afirmarem que a função sexual de mulheres submetidas aos tratamentos para o câncer de colo do útero foi prejudicada. Nestes, foram citados os tratamentos: cirurgia (conização e histerectomia), quimioterapia e radioterapia. Em que a radioterapia foi o tratamento mais frequente e o que mais proporcionou males ao funcionamento sexual dessas mulheres. Os índices de funcionamento sexual se mostraram bem baixo na maioria dos estudos. Conclusão: Portanto, é possível afirmar que mulheres submetidas aos tratamentos para o câncer de colo do útero, seja cirurgia, radioterapia ou quimioterapia, podem ter suas vidas sexuais mudadas. A maioria das pacientes têm dificuldades em voltar a suas atividades sexuais normais.
