Abstract

Introduction: The Previne Brasil program is a new funding model for Primary Health Care. It is based on three criteria: weighted capitation, performance indicators and incentives for strategic interventions. Objective: To describe the difficulties of health professionals with the performance indicators of the Previne Brasil program from 2019 to 2022 in Campo Verde, Mato Grosso. Methods: This is a descriptive cross-sectional study with a quantitative approach, conducted using a structured questionnaire among senior Primary Health Care professionals. Simple and absolute frequencies were used for the descriptive analysis of the data. Results: 43 senior professionals took part in the study, including doctors, nurses and dentists. Among the greatest difficulties mentioned were: inconsistent records, denominator does not match reality and technical support for citizens' electronic medical records; less important were: lack of material resources, lack of team collaboration and lack of support from the municipal administration. Conclusions: The good performance of the Previne Brasil program indicators is the result of teamwork combined with participatory municipal management and a unified information system.
