um estudo de caso comparativo
Abstract
According to the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (2012), between the years of 2002 and 2012, the number of entrepreneurial women grown from 9.2 to 14.7 in Brazil. There are, however, few studies regarding to the profile of these entrepreneurs in states with less expressiveness economic, as is the case of Alagoas.. The main goal of this work was to identify the entrepreneurial potential of Maceió’s businesswomen using a measurement range adaptation developed in 2008. Five initial entrepreneurs (four or less years from the beginning of the enterprise) and ten success entrepreneurs (five or more years from the beginning of the enterprise) were interviewed, totalizing fifteen interviewees. It was identified that 60% of interviewees are entrepreneurs by necessity, and this may have occurred due to lack of job opportunity and low income in the previous work. Considering only eight studied constructs, the average entrepreneurial potential of the interviewees in this study does not differ much from the results obtained by Santos (2008), with a detected difference of only 1.39% for less. Thus, the average entrepreneurial potential of the interviewees can be considered high.
