THE IMPORTANCE OF PUBLIC POLICIES AND ITS PERFORMANCE IN THE EDUCATIONAL SECTOR: Municipal School and The Confrontation of Covid-19 In Palmeira Dos Índios/ Alagoas

Abstract

Due to the scenario experienced by everyone in the pandemic of the new coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2), the authorities had to create measures to face and combat the virus in various areas of society so that there was no great loss for the population. This article describes the actions carried out by the municipal management of the city of Palmeira dos Índios/AL, in facing the pandemic of the new coronavirus in the educational field and analyzes the performance and relevance of the public policies implemented by the city hall in municipal schools, due to the suspension of classes due to cause of the virus and its possible contributions within this context. The work is based on documental, qualitative research and unstructured interviews with seven employees of the analyzed school and one student. According to the research, it can be concluded that the public policies used in the municipal schools of Palmeira dos Índios-AL, despite some deficiencies, played a relevant role, preventing students from missing the school year, but there is a need for further studies. deeper and over the years with these schools for an absolute result.
