El giro: percepciones del cuerpo y el espacio en una comunidad Maya, desde una mirada gestual

Abstract

This article deals with the results of an investigation whose objective was to investigate the meanings of the movements and gestures in rotation that are observed in the Mayan ceremonies of the community of Tihosuco, Quintana Roo, Mexico, and the ways in which, through them, It is possible to explain the way in which the body, the territorial space and daily life are perceived in the Maya-speaking peoples. The methodological theoretical proposal that led the research was Marcel Jousse's Anthropology of Gesture, prioritizing, during participant observation, the technical resources of the use of video, frames and photography.
