Le corps handicapé dans les réseaux sociaux: l'autoreprésentation de l'athlète paralympique Camille Rodrigues sur Instagram

Résumé

Les corps handicapés occupent une place centrale dans le débat occidental sur ce qui constitue un être humain. D'une part, les personnes handicapées sont victimes d'un discours capacitiste dominant, principalement par le biais des médias traditionnels qui renforce les idéologies, encadre certains aspects et entraîne son public dans un réseau symbolique de significations qui organise le monde social. D'autre part, les médias sociaux permettent à ces personnes de traiter directement avec la société, avec des possibilités d'accord, d'opposition ou de complément avec ce qui est divulgué par les médias traditionnels. Dans cet article, nous avons pour objectif d'analyser quelques photographies publiées par la parathlète Camille Rodrigues en 2016, sur son profil Instagram. En utilisant la perspective du féminisme poststructuraliste, nous explorerons de manière critique la relation entre le corps de l'athlète handicapé et leur auto-représentation sur les réseaux sociaux, comme une manière de penser une théorie féministe du handicap.
