Peer review
The process of selecting articles for publication occurs by evaluating their contribution to the educational area. In this sense, the guidelines of the journal, the degree of originality or originality of the research developed, and the parameters of its methodological paths are parameterized, in addition to the coherence and consistency of its overview in the unpreostability of the object. In this guideline, the process of reviewing articles is parameterized in the following stages:
- (a) Merit of form: analysis of the form under the responsibility of at least two publishers and, of a third party in case of divergence, in compliance with the criteria and standards of Cadernos Pedagógicos, being rejected in advance: (i) experience reports; (ii) revisions of literature without problems or emphasis on a contemporary problem; (iii) parts of thesis or thesis without adaptations to the criteria and standards of the Journal, iv) projects, reports or parts thereof, v) works that do not show clarity between the proposed problem and its development, vi) excessive errors of writing in Portuguese and other languages provided for by the Journal (Spanish and English), vii) works that only tangentialize or def from the field of education, (viii) only descriptive works without nucleization of the problem. (ix) works that do not follow the structure and standards of the Journal, 10) incomplete works. These documents will be sent to their authors with the initial denial notice regarding the form. If approved on the merits of the form, the second phase will be moved.
- b) Peer Review: Analysis of the merits of the article through two or more arbitrators, appointed by publishers, considering their experience (ad hoc evaluators among the lists of those registered on the Journal platform) according to the cnpq areas and the information declared on the curricular platforms of lattes. The arbitrators will be in number of two and if there is a dissent as to the merits a third party will be designated as a form of tiebreaker of the evaluation. Arbitrators can accept the item, request mandatory corrections, or reject it. In the event that the arbitrators approve the article, the arbitration decision refers to the next stage, when rejected, the arbitration decision is referred to its authors. In the case of mandatory corrections, they will only move on to the next stage if they necessarily meet the requirements of the arbitrators, conferred a posteriori when redrafting the text and reassessed. In any case, evaluation registration is requested for evaluators in written form.
- c) Review and adequacy of the work: Quando approved that the article be adapted by the team responsible to the standards and formats of Cadernos Pedagógicos, as well as, where necessary, language corrections. In cases of plutogium identification, the resource used will be Spider.

When used, statistical methods should be described in the detail necessary to allow access to the original data and verification of the results presented by a reader versed in the topic; at the same time, excessively technical language should be avoided and presented clearly enough to promote the understanding of a non-specialized reader. Such a request to authors requires measures such as: search, where possible, to quantify the results and present them with the corresponding indicators of measurement error or uncertainty (e.g. confidence intervals); avoid relying solely on statistical inference tests, which do not provide relevant quantitative information; discuss the eligibility of experimental units; provide detailed information on randomization and observations; discuss the reasonableness of the results and report on the possible limitations of the method used; specify the software used; restrict tables and figures to the amount necessary to explain the justification of the article and its robustness; avoid frameworks with many themes and duplication of data; statistical terms, abbreviations and symbols used in the article.
