Peer Review Process

The review process is initially performed by the Associate Editor who will assess the form and suitability of the articles in contributing to the editorial policy of the journal. All submissions to JRKS will be automatically screened using CrossCheck (iThenticate) before being sent to reviewers. Original contributions accompanied by a declaration of language revision will be given priority. The manuscripts approved in the initial phase will be forwarded to at least two ad hoc reviewers, indicated by one of the Associate Editors, for analysis and potential approval of the manuscript. Each manuscript will be reviewed by PhDs with recognized expertise in the field of interest. The peer review process will be double-blind, ensuring absolute confidentiality, both of the authors' and reviewers' identities. In situations where there is any conflict of interest, the manuscript will be referred to new reviewers. In cases of discrepancies in the previous reviews, a third review opinion may be requested prior to the final decision. More than one review step might take place prior to the final acceptance of manuscripts. For the article to be published, it must receive a favorable opinion from at least two ad hoc reviewers and the Associate Editor. The Editorial Board reserves the right to make changes deemed necessary for the publication of the article, which will become the property of the journal.

Reviewers should express their views objectively with clear supporting arguments and references as necessary and not be defamatory or libellous. Personal criticism of the author is inappropriate. Reviewers should respect the confidentiality of material supplied to them and may not discuss unpublished manuscripts with colleagues or use the information in their own work. Reviewers should decline to review manuscripts in which they have a competing interest resulting from competitive, collaborative, or other relationships or connections with any of the authors, companies, or institutions connected to the papers. Reviewers are encouraged to consult the Ethical Guidelines for Peer Reviewers and the Code of Conduct and Best Practice Guidelines, both available on the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) website at http: // publicationethics.org/resources/code-conduct.
