The present study is characterized as a systematic review and aimed to research the classification of motor development of students participating in social projects. In this sense, research was carried out on the Google Scholar platform, in which 282 articles were found. As a search strategy, the keywords used were motor development, social project, MDS (Motor Development Scale), and academics, alternating between the Portuguese and Spanish language. The following criteria were used to include the articles: the studies should present a motor assessment of students in social projects between the years 2015 to 2020. In order to find the articles, summary reading was accomplished. When the readings were enough to ascertain if the inclusion criteria were considered, the manuscript was fully read to determine its eligibility. After considering the inclusion and exclusion criteria, 6 articles were obtained, in which 4 point out to significant improvements in the motor development of the investigated students. From this perspective, it can be inferred that the intervention and monitoring of a Physical Education professional is fundamental for improving the motor development of children and teenagers, and social projects are a powerful tool for the performance of that professional. Finally, it is emphasized that social projects contribute to the engagement in physical and sports activities, involving the improvement of motor development.
