The technological advancements have transformed society and, consequently, the educational landscape. The resistance of teachers to this change has become evident. However, the COVID-19 pandemic accelerated the integration of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) in education. In response, the Municipal Department of Education - SEMED of Penedo invested in 1500 Chromebooks for teachers, despite facing difficulties in their use. To address this, the project "Assessment of needs and teacher training" was carried out in three stages: investigating the Chromebook, surveying software, and constructing an instructional booklet using the Tango software. The document detailed challenges such as the keyboard layout and issues with Google applications. The booklet became a reference for teachers and students, but highlighted the need for ongoing support. The project, besides assisting teachers, provided learning opportunities for the involved students, deepening their knowledge of educational apps. As a result, the importance of future courses to guide educators on the proper use of the described tools was emphasized.
