Body education and the corporal practice of pole dance: on levers of strength and (un)balances of a female body
Sobre Alavancas de força e (Des)equilíbrios de um Corpo Mulher
Abstract
This essay is based on the assumption that there is no body outside its practices and that the body can only be the object of study of education from these practices that attribute meaning to it. Thus, the purpose of this paper is to question the body in its relationship with the body practice of pole dance. We understand that the body practice of pole dance can be seen as a kind of lever/strength capable of promoting a (un)balance towards the construction of a female body as a potency. We conclude that it is important to question the female body from the body practice of pole dance in order to reflect on the political action of the body and on the body, because it is in and through the body that politics invests as production of ways of existence.Downloads
