Abstract

“Momentos Biblio: the social responsibility of Librarianship, libraries and librarians” is a university extension project and a practical action of the librarians’ social responsibility. How did librarians contribute through social responsibility and university extension in minimizing informational problems in the Pandemia and the Infodemic? It describe how the promotion of debates within in the Pandemia and Infodemic context, since the debates is sources of information and resources to confronting the Pandemic and Infodemic. This research brings a case study, is a hybrid quantitative and qualitative, it sought to extract the essences of indicators and theoretical constructions that make up. it was adopted the exploratory method, because through it it is possible to understand the intersection between the Pandemia and the Infodemic, and the theoretical bias was supported by discussions regarding social responsibility on the processes that permeate professional and scientific work in Librarianship. He opted for the polydisciplinary epistemic inclination, which is characterized by the aggregation of different areas of knowledge with object that is common to them. The university extension project promoted 63 lectures, an action that took place from two perspectives that involve users of information and information professionals, especially the librarian. The contribution of librarianship, libraries and librarians, through social responsibility and university extension in minimizing the informational problems of the Pandemia and the Infodemic occurred when the debates were materialized in informational objects, and as such, they were taken as safe and easily accessible sources of information to face up the pandemic and infodemic context.
