Abstract

The theme of the research report in the context of the Museology field of knowledge involves institutional collective memory interpreted as a cultural asset and built by the trajectory of professors expressing their academic thinking. The object of study is the Graduate Program in Physics of the Institute of Physics of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, due to its virtual museum, created to disseminate specialized information on research, teaching and other academic achievements. of Physics in Brazil and its presence on the international scene. It aims to identify and analyze, from an academic perspective, the trajectory of Professors Emeritus and Professors Alumni of the program in their memorialistic-patrimonial experiences, aiming to characterize the values attributed to the Academic Excellence profile, representing the field of Physics, to add them to the collection and infocommunication of the Institution's Virtual Museum. The methodology is characterized in the typology of exploratory research of qualitative and quantitative content and had documental and primary sources. The results relate specialized contents of Museology, Institutional Memory, Intellectual Heritage and the field of Physics. It is concluded that the program is a course that has received, for several years, maximum academic evaluation values from development agencies and verifies that it is a space with a standard of excellence in teaching and research, taking the form of a representative element suitable for the musealization process. ization in a referential context of memory, heritage and in an internet environment.
