From numbers to names, to memories, to humanized narrative. This article puts discussion of humanization in journalistic discourse in relation to losses due to Covid-19 a from the analysis of the writing process of texts-tributes within Memoráveis Alagoas. The methodology used is based on bibliographic research on practices and journalistic formats, in addition to the experience report of members who present the dynamics of the activity, interview techniques used and the writing of tributes, also considering the experience within the extension. The results point to the stimulation of sensibility and humanization of work not only of communicators involved as volunteers, but also from the local press as a whole in a pandemic context that claimed the lives of so many residents from Alagoas.
