Introduction: The Family Health Strategy is a learning scenario. In the area of Cabanas, located in the municipality of Mariana, Minas Gerais, there is a team of professionals who act as preceptors in these educational processes. Objective: To analyze the perceptions of these professionals in relation to preceptorship and health training. Methods: This is a qualitative and descriptive study. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with 14 participants involved in the training processes in the region. The technique of Analysis of Similarity from the IRaMuTeQ® program was used to support the analysis. The textual content was interpreted using Content Analysis. Results: Two similarity analyses were generated, corresponding to the interaction between care-teaching-management and social control in health training, and between education and the interprofessional work of the Cabanas team. Participants reported a positive dialogue with the university but expressed a need to improve relationships between the managers and the community. Although its importance has been recognized, there are some limitations in interprofessional work. The study presents a proposal for a professional training course to help strengthen the practice of preceptorship in the area. Conclusions: The interlocution between the axes of health education makes it possible to advance interprofessionality; the promotion of health professionals as a subject of education in the region leads to the transformation of professional practices. This text is the result of the Professional Master's Degree in Family Health (PROFSAÚDE).
