PENEDO VIRTUAL: PRODUCTION OF INFORMATIVE VIDEOS ABOUT TOURIST ATTRACTIONS IN THE CITY OF PENEDO.

Abstract

The appreciation of the cultural and historical heritage of a locality enhances tourism and enriches the experience of visitors. Based on this, this study highlights the innovative use of technology to promote the historical and cultural heritage of Penedo, AL. The project "Valuing the culture and history of the city of Penedo through Augmented Reality applied to tourist spots" utilized informative videos linked to QR codes, displayed during the 2022 Penedo Film Circuit. Despite connectivity challenges, visitors were able to interact with informative videos about the city's tourist spots. The strategy of QR codes proved effective, arousing visitors' curiosity and encouraging the appreciation of local heritage. The project demonstrated the potential of Augmented Reality to create more immersive experiences, offering new ways to preserve and appreciate the rich culture and history of Penedo.
