Perspectivas e abordagens geográfico-antropológicas do turismo: entre a teoria e a prática no caso português

Abstract

In this article, we present a brief reflection on tourism and culture, also based on the bibliography consulted for this purpose, from the point of view of Anthropology and Geography. There is also the question of hosts in tourist locations, discussing some of the encounters and disagreements that always arise in these contacts between different types of populations from different cultures. Then, the problematic of the so-called contemporary reflexive tourism is alluded to, questioning what is the search for experiences that visitors have in mind in their travels and tourist stays, namely from the perspective of their authenticity (or lack thereof) and the relationship with host communities.
