“Science in the Square”: Graduate Studies at the service of scientific dissemination in non-formal spaces in the city of Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul

Abstract

This is the report of my experience as a graduate student between 2019 and 2021, in the extension and scientific dissemination activity “Ciência na Praça” developed by the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, and it makes reference to the importance of creating a way of two-way that allows the meeting between the process of scientific production generated in postgraduate programs with the public in general, having in the university extension the tool of articulation of the dialectical process that allows the simple exchange of knowledge (academic and popular) to the democratization of academic knowledge, and finally the integrated and collective construction of science.
