Aproveite a tecnologia: discurso sobre a tradução na mídia digital

Abstract

Based on materialist Discourse Analysis, as purposed by Michel Pêcheux (1969,1975), this paper aims at discussing how the discourse on translation circulates in the digital media by analyzing part of what is said from GoogleTranslatein the internet.  We aim to analyze how the media discourse, in its relation to technological and market discourses, produce effects of meaning for those who translate – the translator – as well as for the process of translating, especially with regards to the use of computer and machine automatic translation.
