Casar é uma vez só! Uma análise do parâmetro movimento em verbos inerentemente recíprocos da Língua Brasileira de Sinais

As línguas naturais empregam diferentes estratégias para codificar reciprocidade em sua gramática. Neste trabalho, analisaremos um grupo de verbos em Libras (Língua Brasileira de Sinais) cuja interpretação recíproca já está presente em sua especificação lexical. Após identificar esse grupo de verbos, chamados de recíprocos lexicais ou de verbos inerentemente recíprocos, procedemos com a descrição fonológica desses itens e identificamos duas propriedades comuns a esses itens: todos eles são bimanuais e ainda possuem um padrão de movimento bastante característico. Com relação à bimanualidade, argumentamos que há um mapeamento semântico (icônico, na verdade) entre cada uma das mãos e um participante do evento. Já sobre os padrões de movimento encontrados, foco principal deste artigo, notamos dois tipos principais de movimento: i) movimento simples (ou repetitivo) e ii) movimento alternado. A diferença entre esses dois tipos de movimento reflete uma distinção semântica importante: verbos inerentemente recíprocos com movimento único codificam eventos atômicos simétricos, enquanto aqueles com movimento alternado codificam eventos assimétricos, em que a reciprocidade é obtida a partir da acumulação de subeventos não-simétricos. Essa observação contribui para as discussões sobre a interface fonologia-semântica e para uma melhor descrição semântica dos verbos recíprocos em Libras, além de se alinhar com achados feitos em outras línguas de sinais.
