The article objective to analyze the way in which religious discourse works in the virtual space, considering its articulation with pop culture. To carry out the analysis of the selected discursive sequences, we anchor the study in the theoretical-methodological assumptions of the Pecheutian Discourse Analysis, developing the following theoretical notions: significant space (ORLANDI, 2009), social networks (RECUERO, 2009), cyberspace (LEVY, 1999), religious discourse (MIKLOS, 2012) and (SBARDELOTTO, 2012), and pop culture (SOARES, 2015). The analysis us to observe that, according to the frameworks/determinations of the virtual space, the religious discourse is reconfigured, making use of loans to the elements of pop culture to produce meanings and generate engagement, interaction and identification with subjects who constitute and moves in this space.
