The present research aims to verify if there is reason in analyzing in a qualitative way the productions of /p/ consonants produced by bilingual speakers of English and Portuguese in a Speaker Comparison context. Departing from a Complex Dynamic Systems (CDS) view of language and adopting the theoretical background of the CDSs, such as the interdependence between agents, emergency of behaviors, border between the chaotic and non-chaotic, competitiveness and cooperativeness relationships, among others, we seek to compare the productions of two speakers. After quantitative analysis carried out in a previously work, we selected an American speaker (A3) and a Brazilian speaker (B15) to compare them, through a closer look at the spectrograms, in features like differences in the wave shape, voicing bar, amplitude of the acoustic waves and a comparison with the quantitative data. The current approach used in the present research might provide data for the Speaker Comparison field once the analysis of the occlusion and VOT periods of a speaker may help individualizing the speaker in question.
