Abstract

Over the last two decades, the expansion of higher education has intensified the debate on methodologies for evaluating the education system. The expansion is alleged to have come at a high cost in terms of the quality of learning. As a result of the pressure for better results provided by Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), the learning gain came to be considered a potential metric for the quality of teaching. In quantitative research, considering data from 1408 undergraduate courses in Administration in Brazil, in the evaluation cycles of 2015 and 2018, a statistical model was adjusted to verify how the organizational resources affect students' learning gain. The results showed that physical and human capital resources had a positive effect on learning gain.
