The objective of this paper is to analyze the use of hyperlinks in Teletandem practices at UNESP São José do Rio Preto, through genre analysis, before and after the shift of regular synchronous communication from the written chat to the oral modality (Teletandem Oral Session), in the Instant Messengers used for the practice. Considering Teletandem a system of genres (ARANHA, 2014; RAMPAZZO; ARANHA, 2019) and seeing genres as a union of formal features (syntactic component), rhetoric substance (semantic component) and rhetoric action (pragmatic component) (MILLER, 2012), when the syntactic and the semantic components are known, it is possible to analyze the pragmatic component, regarding the use of hyperlinks before and after the shift of synchronicity to the videoconference. The data shows that before the regular use of videoconference, sharing hyperlinks was not a common practice, and after the shift, students began to use written chats to share them as a support to the oral communicative practice.
