This article shows the analysis of discourses that circulate in virtual environments based on interpretations of song lyrics. The main objective is to point out places of interpretation in which the common-reader subject does not find meaning, does not operate in polysemy, and, therefore, is challenged by literality and the reader-form. Based on Discourse Analysis theoretical approach, the research result from the analysis of song lyrics and dialogues, conceptual exchanges between internet users about song lyrics. In this way, the theoretical-analytical device is formed mainly by the connection of questions raised from this discursive corpus with notions about orality, literacy, and reader-form that point out some possible alternatives for the subject in a literate society. The analyzes present issues arising from this theoretical and methodological path in the sphere of debate on the relationship between literate practices, teaching and uses of reading, in school, and outside of it.
