Theoretical analysis on Como e por que ler a poesia brasileira do século XX, by Ítalo Moriconi, from the literature history theory

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to analyze the volume Como e por que ler a poesia brasileira do século XX, by Ítalo Moriconi, starting from a pertinente theoretical framework on issues surrounding contemporary studies on the history of literature and the literary canon, based on authors such as Cairo (2010), Schmidt (1996), Vieira (2003), Olinto (2008) and Zilberman (2010), to then defend that the referred volume can be read along the lines of a history of contemporary literature.
