Abstract

This text aims to emphasize historical landmarks that characterized teaching, research and extension as basic functions of the university. The Theoretical Foundation is housed in the area of interaction between studies on social representations (RS) and discussions on teaching, research and extension at the University. The Methodology is characterized as collaborative action research, in an interface between University and school in teacher training.

Author Biography

Professor Emerson, Universidade do Estado do Pará

PhD in Education in Science and Mathematics by the REAMEC Program - UFMT/UFPA (2014), Master in Education in Science and Mathematics by the Federal University of Pará - UFPA /NPADC (2005), Specialist in Afro-Brazilian History and Culture - UNIFAHE (2021 ) and Degree in Mathematics from the Federal University of Pará - UFPA (2002). Adjunct Professor at the Department of Mathematics, Statistics and Informatics at the State University of Pará - DMEI-UEPA. Coordinator of the Mathematics Area of ​​the Pedagogical Residency - UEPA Campus X. He coordinates the Collaborative Group on Mathematics Education and Afro-Brazilian Education - GCEM-EAB, and is a researcher at the research groups TRANSFORMAR and GEDIM at PPGECM/UFPA. He is a Collaborating Professor at the PPGECM at UNIFESPA in partnership with UEPA. He has experience in the area of ​​Mathematics Education, with an emphasis on Teacher Training, working mainly on the following subjects: Teaching Practice of Mathematics, Mathematical Modeling, Mathematics for Agricultural Sciences, History of Mathematics and Mathematics for the Early Years. Has developed technical activities of Planning and Evaluation in Professional Education with emphasis on Public Policies, Governmental Management and Teacher Training.
