MOOC as a possibility for the internationalization of higher education at home

This study, the result of a master's thesis, aims to understand the potential/possibilities of using MOOC (Massive Open Online Courses) to promote the internationalization of Higher Education at home. In this sense, a qualitative approach was adopted, and a semi-structured interview was used as a research tool. The study subjects were five undergraduate students, from a Polytechnic University School located in Southern Brazil. With this investigation, it was possible to envision the MOOC as a possibility of innovation and complement to the teaching and learning processes in undergraduate courses, also enabling the internationalization of higher education through the connection with international professors, students, and universities.
