Análise do Discurso no Brasil: reflexões acerca de sua construção teórico-metodológica

Abstract

This paper focuses on issues concerning the emergence and functioning of language in the social human being, thus seeking to design, along this path, the historical, social, and ideological determinations of the meanings within the discourse. From this perspective, it examines the theoretical and methodological construction of Discourse Analysis which is, in Brazil, a discipline affiliated to the historical materialism.
