The production of Western Modernity, the result of colonial movements that began at the end of the 15th century, was marked by a set of actions that would shape the geopolitical relations of the contemporary world. The domination of territorial and economic relations was followed by other processes, often neglected, and forgotten, such as the colonisation of knowledge, routines, the institutionalisation of life, among others, which converged in the very coloniality of the being. In this movement, the spatial dimension was one of the fundamental facets. With the goal of reflecting upon the relations between children and the institutionalised space, we seek, with this article, to contribute to the debates that involve curricular issues for the Early Childhood Education.
